IT support technician
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to help expand the local support to our offices and vessels located in the Baltic region. Our offices and vessels are situated in Klaipeda, Liepāja, Latvia, Paldiski Estonia.
The ideal IT Support Engineer can service both 1st line walk-in customers and coordinate scheduled “field work” with the different business units located in the various countries, ensuring a high service level on Incidents and Requests that cannot be solved remotely.
Your primary responsibility will be to support our locations and vessels in the Baltics, so having a driver’s license is a must.
Responsibilities include:
· Deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
· Install and configure software to agreed standards under the direction of the company policy.
· Maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by the company policy, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.
· Assist in the compilation of the Support Centre's technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users.
Maintenance of existing systems and implementation of new systems
· Redirect and handover support requests to the 3rd line support.
· Coordinate and schedule regular visits to all locations in Jutland, including vessels in Esbjerg.
We will provide you a thorough introduction to the DFDS business and how we have implemented ITIL best practices to fit our need.
About You
The main responsibility for this role is to provide on-site support on locations primarily in the Baltics but also other locations as well as our visiting our vessels, when the support organization is not able to support remotely.

Able and willing to travel. Driver's license is essential.
Has a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement in existing processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Experience in working with ITSM system. Knowledge on TopDesk is a plus.
Curious in learning new technologies and best practices.
Customer service mindset, striving to deliver exceptional service.
Keen sense of urgency and prioritization.
English fluency – local language proficiency is a plus, but not a requirement.
